  • Procedural content overperforms in Australia relative to other markets. This subgenre was responsible for 3.6% of demand here which is significantly larger than the 0.8% of titles that are procedural series.
  • Although mockumentaries represent a small share of overall demand, the overperformance of mockumentary content in Australia bodes well for the local remake of The Office due in 2024.

  • Even though Australians had some of the lowest demand for children’s content overall, the local children’s series Bluey, was the most in - demand Australian original and managed to find success around the world as well.
  • Succession had especially high demand in Australia where it ranked higher than in any other market in this report. Perhaps the show being heavily inspired by the Murdoch family has led to increased interest in their home country.
  • NCIS ranked higher in Australia than in any other market in this report with 12.5 times the average series demand. The expansion of the NCIS franchise down under with the premiere of NCIS: Sydney in 2023 has no doubt driven demand for the franchise higher in this part of the world.
